  Habitat Wet & damp places & lowland heath. Foodplant Mainly hawthorn, oak & sallows, but a variety of other trees, shrubs & herbaceous plants. Lifestage data Overwinters as a larva on foodplant. Larva Aug-June. The eggs are laid on the cocoon of the female, which is formed on the foodplant. |
